_Blade Runner: Replicant Night_ by K.W. Jeter was a disappointment compared to the Jeter's previous Blade Runner take off of the original PKD novel. Rather than follow in the characteristic PKD style of vagueness, the story explained things and events in a straightforward fashion. Also, it seemed that all kinds of old personalities from the original Blade Runner novel were being pulled out in ridiculous ways just to spark the interest of original Blade Runner fans.

In case you haven't yet been deterred, the story picks up where the previous Blade Runner novel left off. Deckard mopes around pining for his lost love, Rachael (boo hoo hoo). Deckard's life becomes endangered (gasp). Sarah Tyrell acts like a bitch (whoopee). Even lacking the Dicksian style, the novel could still have been interesting if some originality and truly new characters had been incorporated, but this was sadly not the case.
