Written in an autobiographical style, the main character describes the relationships between various members of his family. He (only called a "he" because he was born male) spends quite a lot of the book describing his incestuous acts with his sister. There is so much gender shifting going on while they have sex that I was having trouble keeping track of who had what genitalia when, and what they were doing at the time.
