_Death Be Not Proud_ by John Gunther was definitely not a book to read while sick home in bed (which is how I read it). These are the true memoirs of a father who lost his seventeen year old son to a brain tumor. The account of the highs and lows of his son's valiant struggle against the disease can be truly gut-renching, yet the spirit of hope that runs throughout most of the book stands out strongly. Highly recommended.
