The classic collection of erotica in _Delta of Venus_ by Anais Nin was supposedly written for a (dirty) old man who wanted "less poetry, more sex" and shows it. Although there are occasional flashes of elegant language, most of the stories show more porn (in relation to the time period in which they were written - they're tame by today's standards) than detailed erotic writing. I felt that most of the stories didn't end satisfactorily, and were more just conglomeration of scenes rather than short stories. I'd only recommend this if you really feel the need to read this classic of erotic fiction.
