These aren't stories and essays with neat little beginnings and endings. _Distorture_ is a collection of fringe, postmodern, industrial, sometimes violent, sometimes erotic, often psychotic, cruelly dark, intensely surreal, lyrical images with more references to postmodern pop culture than you can shake a scalpel at.
I loved it; I hated it; I grokked it; it left me totally bewildered. Imagine the literary equivalent of Bosch or Giger with the soft edges sharpened by jangly strains of industrial music, and you might have _Distorture_. This book's definitely not for the average, I-want-to-leave-my-brain-onhook reader, but highly recommended for devotees of cutting edge writing.
