_Erotism: Death & Sensuality_ by Georges Bataille (translated by
Mary Dalwood) is about the psychology of sexuality and how it
relates to man's views on death. Bataille discusses the coexistence
of taboos and transgressions, religion and sensuality, and the
works of the Marquis de Sade. Although I don't agree with quite
a lot of what Bataille has to say, I found his treatment of each
subject to be interesting and thought-provoking. Recommended.
