The whole book consists of an e-mail exchange between an ambitious graduate student and her graduate AI project, which appears to have developed an independent intelligence. I loved this book - it was fascinating to watch the grad student's relationship with the AI program grow. Highly recommended for computer people because it says an awful lot about how involved we can become with what we see on the computer screen.
