I wasn't very enchanted by _Going Native_ by Stephen Wright. A man drives away and leaves his family for the open road and the American dream/nightmare. Each chapter presents a different set of lives and a different example of the murderously violent horrors of the 90s, and through each the man and/or his car makes an appearance. Although an interestingly nasty and unpleasant look at violence in the 90s, I'm not sure whether or not to recommend this one.
