Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett strike me as a pretty unlikely duo for a book, but their collaboration comes off brilliantly in _Good Omens_. Imagine a combination of Douglas Adams and Monty Python doing the Apocalypse, and _Good Omens_ is what you'll get.

This hilarously funny story features the coming of the Antichrist and the impending Apocalypse. Because of a mistake at the hospital, the newly-born Antichrist has been misplaced and goes home with a normal family. Meanwhile, the two earthbound representatives from Heaven and Hell realize that they may not want mankind to be destroyed, while the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse prepare to ride their motorcycles. Highly recommended for people who like wacky British humor in the tradition of Adams' _The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy_.
